BODY PIERCINGS AND ADORNMENTS POLICY

We strictly follow this British Gymnastics Body Piercing and Adornments Policy:

NOT PERMITTED:

STRING / BRACELET / NECKLACE / ANKLET

Any type of string or jewellery that is tied around an ankle / wrist / neck / waist must be removed.

Alternatively, fully secured with tape, tight clothing or a sweatband.

If a sweatband is used to cover up an item of string or jewellery, the sweatband should be taped in place to minimise the risk of the sweatband slipping and exposing the item.

NOT PERMITTED:

BODY PIERCING JEWELLERY

Tape must only be used for the first 6 weeks of covering up a new piercing.

After 6 weeks, body piercing jewellery must be removed.

The coaches cannot take out body piercing jewellery, so parents/guardians or the participant themselves must do this before arriving to class.

£2.00 MICROPOROUS TAPE

If your child arrives to class breaching this Policy, they will be given a roll of microporous tape to purchase, along with a slip to inform their parent/guardian.

The tape will then be applied with the help of the coach, so they can participate safely and with their insurance being valid.
